What's up freaks?

I have been planning to use a Power Mac G4 w/ OsX 10.4.3 as a component in my recording arsenal for about a year now.

I just got the box reloaded with OsX 10.4.3 and have an M-Audio 2496 I can use as a soundcard.

One of the main things I wanted to use this machine for is with SoundDiver for loading, manipulating storing, etc. synth patches of my Virus KC and Motif ES Rack.

I looked for a recent copy of SoundDiver to buy and stumbled across this thread:

http://community.sonikmatter.com/forums/lofiversion/index.php/t7536.html

It basically states that there is no full retail version for purchase with OsX but that the demo is available for free use until that time comes.

<DOWNLOAD HERE>

Has anyone used this demo version?

Is there a newer retail version out now?

It looks like the post is from 2-5-2006 so I am thinking its possible something changed in the past few months but I am not up on Macs yet.

Cheers to all, thanks for any comments on this little project of mine.

And big ups to Jasedee for pointing out to me that the free version of SoundDiver Virus from Access won't work with OsX 10.4.3. 8)

Anytime, Jase.

Please let me know how you like it as I am so busy right now I won't be able to get to it for about a month.

I used to use it with my Virus KC. Works very well on 10.3. Never had it on 10.4.

Hey Alex,

Just tried installing Sound Diver OSX public BETA, running 10.3.9, but apparently you need to have a Emagic XSKey or something...

Looks like Im sticking to OSX10.3.9 and Sound Diver Virus

Hey Jase,

Waht is an EmagicXS key?

Have you tried emailing them for one or do they mean a key from a previous version?

Cheers!

No, Sebastian.

I ask you for pictures of your "dingles."

You know, the little balls of poop that stick to monkey's furry butts.

You're Swedish-Monkey roots are confounding your ability to translate filthy, American slang.

I found a picture on Google that shows people new to dongles how to connect them. Hope this helps Jase. :D

Hey Jase:

Yay! Thanks for the heads up Bro! I gues my lazy American ass could have contacted Access myself couldn't I?

I almost bought a copy of MIDI-Quest Uno, I still might aas it appears SoundDiver is going the way of the Dodo. Also, SoundDiver will never support my Motif ES Rack, but for now, I can use it on OsX with my Virus KC for FREE!!!

Yeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!!!

Hey HC:

Well, If you were using Cubase you could use the Studio Connections software that is available from Yamaha. It is quite cool!

HC: Shut up you rude cunt!

I'm still using Cubase 5.1 on a G3 with OS9.2.2, my Virus is A, and my SoundDiver is so oldskool. :D
