Soft knob automation.....?

Got my second ti up and running but cant seem to get the soft knobs to record automation.

Im using Ableton Live and have no problem adding stuff to automate using virus control.... until i try and select a soft knob. It lets me add it to the list but Live doesnt respond to tweaks. Everything else responds no problem.

Any ideas guys?

In the manual under the heading "knob behaviour" (page 127/128) it says that there is a parameter for target......

It seems that adjusting these may help but lo and behold......
I have no Target option... my menu looks like this....

Any idea why? Is this a bug or do i have to adjust another parameter in another menu? Any help would be great.

err... mine does what it says in the manual.

edit config > knob behaviour... I got three options; one for each soft knob:
response, display time and target. Haven't you got that?

Try unplugging your USB cable, and run the TI in standalone to see if it comes back.

Thanks Mr Orange. Yep, unplug the USB and it reappears!

Even so, im still stuck on getting the soft knobs to send automation in VC.

Seems really strange that all the other controllers are fine except the soft knobs. Im guessing that they are not sending midi data buti dont now how to cure it.

I must be missing some settings somewhere. If anyone has the slightest idea please do shout. Even if its just to confirm that the option definatley shouldnt be there when the USB cable is attached. At least i canlook elsewhere then!
