I start to collect natural/ambient sounds to start a future CD pool with sound fx... if you want to cooperate in building it up or you're just curious...

Nice idea Lorenzo.

Might be worth adding what country the samples are from - not sure if a Swedish stream will sound different to one from the Yorkshire Dales, but at least it adds that International appeal...

Drammy: Bwhaahaha.. The Swedish streams sounds alot different from those in Yorkshire Dales didn't you know that?

logo80: Great idea, I'll see if I can contribute with something.. I live right next to a forest and a swamp filled with frogs & ducks. I'll see if my mic still works on the minidisc and then I'll get you some samples.

Hey, another neat little idea is to sample people.. I mean "the streets" in different parts of the world; Sweden, Italy, UK, France, Spain, Australia, Japan, USA, Finland and so on. That should be different than "just" ordinary nature sounds.

Im in prime position to do these things, and actully will be part of my job, but the samples will only be available for my company's sound collection.

On friday, AUD$20k worth of location gear arrived for me. In the next 3 months, another AUD$10k worth of gear... it feels like X-Mas

A friend of mine, who is great producer will be getting some new gear soon (Monitors, Mixer, soundcard and a couple of new mics) and since he won't be needing his old gear I'll get them.. for free! I've helped them alot with loads of stuff so that's my pay.

Great stuff indeed even I can't remember what exactly I will be getting but for an example; the monitors do cost about ~$900 / pair and they are supposed to be really good.

The mixer is shitty behringer-stuff which he only uses to put down ideas really fast.. The mic is Rode NT or whatever they are called again and another mic which is said to be really good for recording vocals.
