Nice heads up diy!!
Universal binary support for Mac Intel users and improved stability are the main features of the new Virus TI operating system. Version 1.2.3. resolves startup and synchronisation issues, improves the handling of 48k projects, offers faster starting up of the Virus Control plug-in and other refinements"
Won't be able to test this out until later, so definitely interested in hearing other's results with this update.

thank god they fixed the VC startup issue. finally im back to working in Sonar.
How about the bootup problem? Have these updates fixed it? No more dsp crashes etc or were those hardware related? I am planning to get one if it works smoothly. I'm planning to use TI with logic 7.2 + g5 with usb if it works but the standalone mode (also multimode) must work well because I don't want a nearly 2ke synth which works only when connected to a computer.
Can anybody report how much the TI VC-plugin needs native CPU when using it extensively with a dual G5 in Logic 7.2?
Thanks. :)

Well, they haven't pulled the patch yet . . . that's a good sign
Downloading now.
edit update - rebooted the virus about 5 times so far and no startup issues yet.

I hoped they would release an 1.3 update with an 1.4 update coming in two weeks or so and finally the 1.5 update with JUNO filters and a JUNO Chorus emulation. Apparently, it's taking a little bit longer until 1.5

I thought this forum was dead, and it probably is, only 6 posts about an update which is almost a day old... a few months ago, a thread like this would have had multiple sites already

Strange...I performed the update and it works until the end of the process ("press OK to reboot your Virus etc...). But when I switch ON the Virus I just can't see the new release version displayed? The display is still "1.2.1 (19-Jul-2006)" :? Anyone got that problem?

Interesting, have you tried reinstalling it again? Same results?

Unistall drivers and software and then delete access folder from your program files. Then reinstall everything and when it comes to the firmware upgrade you should see the correct updater.
Thanks for the info, I'll try that cause I just retried without uninstalling all the stuff and when it comes to the firmware update I can only see at the bottom of the window "Ready to update to firmware 1.2.1 (19-jul-2006) build 105". I'll let you know if it works better.
OK, it works now!!! Got some probs during the installation of the plug-in because of some "vtiaudio.inf" files not found...but that was not a big deal :D
Thanks for your tips, now I'm gonna test if I still have that drunken arp in multi-mode. Cheers
How are you guys going with 1.2.3?
Thinking about installing this afternoon but Im keen to hear a little more feedback before I bother....
cheers

no problems here blay. Pretty stable, no drunken arp issue at all.
Seems to be a fairly solid release.

agreed. latency in vc is fixed for me, only issue to speak of is the occasional note not playing when i trigger it.
Thanks guys - it certainly sounds promising enough to give it a go...
Maybe I will use VC one day after all ;)
cheers

Eh!!! I have probs with this update, can't load old VC settings. Just getting a freeze screen at the time of initalization. :x
