So i've read that it is recommended to use ASIO with the virus ti and the buffer set to a small level (please correct me if I'm wrong). However, when you set it all to ASIO, the samplerate inevitably changes to 4800KHz, which makes EVERYTHING coming from Virus Ti off key. I'm also using USB only.

However, I'm using a creative audigy 2 card and I'm currently waiting for my M-Audio firewire 410. So it could just be these freeking creative cards. They're really toys. My productions have come to a complete halt because of these issues.

Anyway, to the point, when I get my 'actual' sound card, what is the best setting to have the samplerate at so that the virus will communicate with the computer properly? Should I even be using ASIO? :?

Workaround, always open a 44.1 project first. I have a shortcut to a small dummy 44.1 project to open Cubase, then I load what I'm working on after.
