Next week i will be replacing my 2x17inch Monitors (split/shared screens) for my DAW,with 2 of these little Beauties http://uk.lge.com/prodmodeldetail.do?actType=search&page=1&modelCategoryId=0102&categoryId=0102&parentId=01&modelCodeDisplay=32LC2D&model=NOTHING
I took my Music PC to the shop today for a test, they work with my ASUS graphic card perfect, even though the wanker from Asus support said it wouldn't...

The resolution doesn't seem to be very high with the 32LC2D TV. I suggest buying real computer lcd monitors with at least 1600x1200 resolution.

But think about the vertical resolution 768 pixels. I can say that it will be pain to use audio programs at 2732x768 pixels, the desktop is not high enough. I have a dell 24" + Viewsonic 20" which give me 3520x1200 pixels of workspace. It's very important to see as many tracks in the sequencer's arrange page as possible so you also need enough vertical resolution. I would buy big dell monitors instead. Dell and Apple also have 30" models which have alot better resolution, about 2300x1600.

I made 2 examples:

My current desktop, 24" 1920x1200 + 20" 1600x1200:

With 2x 32" TV 2732x768:

I'm just trying to help that you won't make a bad decision. :)

IMO Two decent sized monitors with high resolution is a far better solution that one really big one regardless of resolution

Now that is a much better choice than the lcd tv.
I have the 24" version of this beast (the 2407wfp) and it is amazing.
When you get the 30", take pics so we can all drool.

3007 is a very good choice. I used to have 2x 24 inch dell 2405s which was nice but they took up way to much horizontal space (and could cause some early reflection problems.)

I then sold them off and got the 30 inch 3007 which is big enough to use on its own. The default res is higher (2560x1600) so I can now fit everything on a single screen comfortably with no need to move mixer or plugin guis to a secondary monitor. Its also bloody nice for movies and games if your that way inclined :)

Anyone know any good DVi Dual-link graphic cards????

Are you mac or pc?

If PC the Nvidia Geforce 7300GT is probably your best bet and cheapest (?60-?80.) It wont be to good for games but it will run the 3007 at its optimum res (2560x1900.) Its also single slots pci-e.

If you want something a bit better at games look at the 7900GT. Its also single slot but quite a bit faster than the 7300GT. It also has TWO dual-linked DVI ports, if you ever wanted to use 2x 3007s like me :)

Either that or the ATI x1800XT. Again single slot and has two dual-linked DVI ports, and is not bad for games.

Personally, if your just going to be using it for music only I would go with the first card.....cheap and does the job perfectly.

+1 for the Asus 7900GT - if you have a decent quite case - then you wont hear/notice the fan noise on it and its a good fast card if you need a bit of power for graphics sometimes.

Else 7300 as its cheap and definately good enough for desktop use.

Forget to mention, 7300GT is silent btw!!......As kaz said, 7900GT has a fan with some slight noise but nothing to major.

?1300 from Digital Village, managed to get them to price match my old Turnkey quote ho ho.

I knew the A6 was something a bit different, but it REALLY is. The sound quality and the options on this board are amazing. You have to look after it though with the warming up, auto-tuning etc which is all new to me but fucking worth it. An andro mk2 with the TI features I would happily pay ?5000 for, this thing is awesome.

LOL - one day maybe, but pretty happy with the collection I have - dont really want to change anything significant at the mo.

One of those things - love the sound of them, but no real place for it.

Damn you guys are some hoes for realz!

I have 3 Dell 1901 FPs on a Matrox Parhelia APVe card.

And I will tell you. I FUCKIN HATE IT! Its stupid. It looks pimp but for efficiency and space...it sucks ass.

If anything I would totally do what the Girl Next Door did and get myself a Dell 3007 WFP. And No i'm not copying you dude....I have been planning this for like 5 months already but $1300 is still alot of money for a screen. But, I'm working my way towards one...heheh

The resolution is 2560x1600 which is more than enough space for my needs. This way everything is centralized and my head stays right in the damn middle and I will have NO separation between screens. I think any other method just stinks. Dont ever do 3 monitors like me or even two....SUCKS! I cant wait to sell it so some other poor soul around here....hahaha

Buahaha...Yeah it does.

It looks pimp but it isnt efficient and takes up too much room.

I can't upload a pic to my site but here is a link to the sale of that setup....LOL! 8)
