I will be releasing the reKon audio VST Virus Editor next week (for BOTH Mac and PC). The first version out will be for the Virus A [OS 2.8], then the B/kb/classic/rack, and finally the C/rackXL version. For more information and a screenshot, please visit the website at www.rekonaudio.com.

So, to answer some of the questions I have seen floating around here:

- Yes, there will be different VST's for each Virus version (A,B,C). These will be based on the current Virus OS's out there for each of these machines.

-The editors are not 'total integration'. They are made for real time editor control of your patches (not multis). You can instatiate as many editors as you need (one for each midi channel) in your host. to acheive this control on separate MIDI tracks.

-You can dump your existing hardare patches into the editor via a controller dump.

-reKon editors allow you to see and edit every single parameter of your patch right on one screen... no tabs! Every aspect of your preset sound is right up front.

-Yes, AU versions will be aways down the road.

-Mac VST versions will be available.

Come check it out at www.rekonaudio.com

I would allmost be tempted by a TI version just to use it direct over MIDI and keep the use of the hardware midi ports :)

"I would allmost be tempted by a TI version just to use it direct over MIDI and keep the use of the hardware midi ports"

Yeah, that would probably be a good idea since alot of people have complained about the USB MIDI ports. (Does the TI utilize USB1 or USB2?) As a selling point, however, I can forsee far less sales for a TI VST editor since Access already gives the user some form of editor control. But still, perhaps I will do this in the future. B and C versions will be next.

Ok, maybe I'll offer skin versions of the B and C editors to allow the user to make it look like an Indigo. I like those colors alot too. But the controls should be the same. the editors are based on the latest OS for each machine.

It has a USB v1 specification, but can still be used in USB v2 ports
