Today I ordered an Access Virus TI Desktop and now I'm waiting for it to arrive.
Hope my decision was a good one...

stay tuned

I think it was a good decision... I hope though that you won't experience as much issues as I did, had to send it back two times already to repair it...

congrats. This is a great time to pick one up as ver 1.2.3 is the most stable release yet.

My Virus has arrived and I did some rather superficial testing on it.
The device was delivered with OS 1.0.9 Hotfix 2 which I replaced by 1.2.3.
I played some sounds via midi and finally I used the TI VST features with Ableton Live 5.2 as a host software.
Everything worked like a charm.
The only peculiarity I observed was the BPM LED sometimes "missing a beat". Is this normal behaviour?
Also I noticed an enclosed spare knob that's different from the knobs used on the synth itself. The spare has a red marker line whereas those on the unit have a grey one. Can anybody explain this to me?

I'm sure I'll have lots of fun with my Virus if it continues to function as well as it did today.

stay tuned

if you look at the ti on the access page, there is a ride line on the knob for cutoff.

i presume it's to swap for the cutoff knob if you so desire. or any knob you want to emphasize. i put it on the cutoff knob myself.
