I just finished 2 Bassline Soundsets all with arpeggio's, the trick is the Delay effect you put on them.this is how you get the sound your looking for....Buy a Ti and you can ave um...

Buy a SCI Pro-One and Moog analog delay....and it'll be more convincing. Ill try and upload some mp3's shortly - im just experimenting with this combo..

They are all ARP Basslines with Delay of course... I don't know if the Classic can do it?? You'll have to ask someone with a Virus Classic...
If i were you i would save for a Ti even if it means no Beer or Women for a year

man those bass's are weak. non of those are usuable to me, a couple of them maybe with post processing. IMO virus oscillators dont have enough raw non effected power to be used for huge trance bass, i always choose my nord, jp8000, or pulse for bass.

you obviously know nothing about sound design. the one thing the virus would be the BEST for is basses. jp and nord lead are better suited for leads. i got the meanest dnb bass out of the virus the other day. it's bloody amazing. in fact most of the sounds i make with it are bases.

virus is really not the best synth for bass.

i'd agree about the pulse, too, that synth is pure bass heaven.

you obviously know nothing about programming a virus if you say it's no good for basses. and nothing about the characteristics of the virus sound either. the virus is KNOW for it's strong low mid and low end. plus if you eq correctly, you can get some ANGRY basses from it. trust me on this, im someone who has actually taken some time to program the synth.

and im not talking like trance bass angry. im talking rotterdam/breakcore/drum and bass angry.

if you read the first, of those two sentences you quoted, more carefully, you will notice that i said, the virus is not the best synth for bass, not that it is no good.

also, take some time to notice that this a forum for virus users. it is a fairly good guess, to say that most people here have taken the time to program their own patches.

that said, i am certain that your bass by far surpasses mine, in angriness ;)

It's pretty commonly agreed the Nord is better for bass because the oscillators are more aggressive raw. I agree the virus is actually pretty good for DnB bass, i've made some pretty heavy layered DnB bass. But with my Pulse I don't even need to layer. and the PWM sounds alot better for DnB.

But for that clean single osc deep creamy trance bass, i have to say even my jp8000 is fatter!
