Hello, i have a Behringer MX802A mixer and an Audiophile 2496 soundcard and i can't seem to connect them properly without having a bit of trouble. Right now i have connected the outs of my 2496 to the tape ins on the mixer and vise versa. the mixer main outs go in the Bx5 Monitors. the problem i get with this connection is that the track which i record and play in Cubase SE gets recorded on the second track too. please let me know what i can do to fix this . many thanks

Here's how I would have it...
There should be a bus (alt 3/4) or something that you can send the channel you want to record to the inputs of your 2496. Either that, or use the direct outs from the channel itself.
Use the Control room outs to feed your monitors.

Thanks...
I've got the Monitors hooked up to the Control room outs. Cool :) . Now besides the tape outs , there are 2 Aux sends plus the Main outs . You mean i need to connect my Soundcards outs to any line ins on the mixer and the main outs of the mixer to the Ins of my soundcard :?: i can send you the front picture of my mixer if it helps solve the problem

I hooked up the Aux Sends to the input of my soundcard and it did the job. There are no ther ways to get playback and record simultaneously with the MX802A
Thanks Anyhow,Cheers
