save patches and setting and restoring factory patches

Hi all,

i own a Virus B rack and i need to save current patches. I use a korg trinity as sequencer (no midi connection to pc currently). i tried the procedures in the manual but seems not to work.

so a few question:

i connect VIRUS[MIDI OUT] to Trinity[MIDI IN], also have to connect TRINITY[MIDI OUT] to Virus[MIDI IN] ?

i set local control off in trinity and also set external clock midi, but pressing STORE on the virus, the sequencer in the trinity do not start but a 29K midi file is created. What i have to do?

How can i be sure that patches have been really save to a midi file?
