So, it's that time of year again.

* www.Clavia.se/main.asp - "It is new. It is red."

* www.Roland.com/V-synth/2007NAMM/index.html - "The World's most expressive synthesiser". V-Synth concept related.

* www.Yamahasynth.com/products/motifxs/index.html - Yamaha Motif XS
* www.Yamahasynth.com/products/mm6/index.html - Yamaha MM6

* www.Korg.com - 10 new products, one of which I understand will relate to Korg's KARMA technology.

And finally, the Korg Nucleus. (THE FOLLOWING WAS MY CRAPPY ATTEMPT AT A BLATANT FAKE!!! I SUCK!! I WILL DIE SLOWLY AND PAINFULLY!!! APOLOGIES!!)

MINI MONSTER
"The new synth from Korg, dubbed the "Nucleus", is set to be unveiled at the winter Namm show. A raw nerve-centre of realtime analogue-esque and cutting edge digital waveform synthesis, it's a portable workstation powerhouse. A mighty gritty, rip-snorting, ear-drum obliterating, speaker-shreddingly aggressive lo-fi mean machine, fused with OASYS physical-modelling algorithms for the best in hardcore synthesis right across the board. Tame it, if you dare...

PCM/Waves:-
* 256 onboard single-cycle PCMs and wavetables sampled from natural/instrumental sources, and vintage synths alike. The latter include the MS-20, PolySix, Pro-1, MiniMoog, TB303, Juno106, SH-101, Jupiter 8, Evolver, and many more...

Looks like they took some of the cosmetic R&D from the Z1 and Trinity. :D

If it was April 1st, I'd say the pic of the Nucleus looks like a photoshop job on a Z1. In fact, I still think it is.

Cheers,

Looks very nice! Wonder why it's got two soundcards/pre-amps or the like strapped to the back of the synth on the right. However, I've always intended to do something similar, but with my RNC compressor.

Think access will have the heads up on most of this gear so hope they have prepared a surprise for us.

I really want to see/hear the new V-synth, not interseted in the korg stuff at the moment. Waldorf on the other hand I want to see what they have done, as for the strap ons it's about time someone tried to do something like this, real analogue filters? we'll see?

Cheers

New Arturia Hardware synthesizer
http://www.arturia.com/evolution/en/products/origin/intro.html

This Origin Synth
Does it work like the Ti on VC/USB??

MAIN FEATURES:
Origin lets you open dedicated software on your Mac and PC and use it as an AU or VST plug-in. All the sounds are calculated on the machine while you work on your computer as you would do with a native application.
Analog: 2 audio ins, 10 audio outs. Digital: SPDIF out, USB 2.0

Check out the new arturia HW synth named "origin"
They ported their superb synth emulations into dsp code.
also a jup8 emulation is coming up soon.

www.arturia.com.

I wonder whats the price tag on their new HW thingy. i would love to be able to take my moog mod patchs with me :P

ten

$2999, so about £1600.....they can fuck a duck for that price. Most of thier synths sound fuck all like the hardware versions. The moog is pure vomit.

Yeh - I just watched that. Then add to the fun with the 73 key and 88 key version you can mount your existing Radias R on it - how sweet is that???

Definately having a play with this thing when it gets over to the UK, if the price isnt too harsh - I can see my Motif ES rack and Fusion 8HD heading to ebay in favour of an 88-key M3 :)

Thats bad - major GAS attaction of this NAMM turns out to be a Korg bloody workstation - OMG.... Ugh!!!! Ill go shoot myself...

OK - I like the idea of the Strom too - but thats a year away if they survive long enough and TBH I really dont feel any need to replace any current synths for a long time - just get rid of some, simplify things a little... and the M3 fits that objective well...
