Hi,

It's mainly Breakbeat but the Rex the Dog stuff is catchy electro pop with a big nod to 80's music!!

I'm from Halesowen, which is 8 miles SW of Birmingham or junction 3 of the M5.
I've been to Cheltenham quite a bit and have always liked it.

Did you move to Germany for a job or relationship or both?
I hear it's a fantastic place to live.

Dave.

'Praise your fears' by Wumpscut along with the whole BloodChild album has been my mp3 fav lately. KILLER Synth sounds on that track, if you're not familiar with them give 'em a listen...

For downtempo there's nothing new (that I like) on the trip hop front... I'll spin Portishead or Sneaker Pimps occasionally. I'm working on remixing some Thievery Corporation stuff.

Hello,

I used to like Frontline Assembly, Caustic Grip being their finest moment in my opinion. Since that album I have liked individual tracks but never the whole albums.

Until last week I bought last years Artificial Soldier and I think it is incredible.

The whole album is superb but especially Social Enemy, that is on loop play at the moment. I just can't get enough of it.

Dave.

Hi Doc,

The album I bought came out last year but there is one out this year that I haven't had chance to listen to yet.

I always thought FLA were one of the better bands in the Electro-Industrial genre. Tunes within the noise made them more interesting.

I have also been listening to Trentemoller tracks and remixes, fantastic.

This guy kicks some serious fucking butt my friends. Wish I got my hands on his work earlier. Being in Japan puts me in a different loop sometimes.

This band has been mentioned earlier in this thread, but I must say that anything by VNV Nation has been "doing" it for me since I first discovered them a few years ago. The more I explore this group, the more I am impressed. The more I am inspired. The less I'm sitting on my butt doing nothing.

Seriously, give these guys a shot. Amazing amazing.

Deep Forest - Sweet Lullaby (Peter Gun's Akasha Mix) on the Lime Light 3 compilation. I utterly fucking hate Deep Forest with the rage of ages but this mix is so fucking good it is insane. Might not be everyone's cup of tea but I love it.

Holy shit Ledge! I hate Deep Forest too, and love the hell out of the term "hating them with the rage of ages" and hope to have an opportunity to use that in conversation at work tomorrow. What download outfit has it? Junodownload.com? Beatport.com? Audiojelly? Other? PLease advise.

:)

Cheers!

I like the album that's off. If you're remotely into videogames, check out "Rez" (Dreamcast, PS2, and now on Xbox Live). There's an absolutely superb, interactive 25 minute version of the track "Fear" on the last level. :D
