Maybe I got this beauty soon:
http://www.multima.no/default.aspx?id=4823
It's not often these are for sale here in Norway and:
NOK 20.000,- ($3115) (to much)
Have called them and say I would pay NOK 20.000,- for it, but they shall e-mail everyone in a analogfreak-list when it's ready for sale. (need some repairs)
So I'm waiting for this e-mail.
Maybe it's others who will buy more, but I don't hope that.

New price $4000 :-(, now I don't know if I go for it. shall I?
DONE, I'm a owner of a JP-8!!
Grazy man! :D
Anyway, congratz for the "new" synth!
I don't have the courage to buy old and expensive synths because I'm afraid they will break down soon.

The JP-8 is in good contition, but without midi.
Is was buyed in 1987, and have been in a flightcase from 1992, so it's a very nice one.
Looks bloody beautiful.
Make sure you post up some MP3s if you get chance. ;)

Somebody sold a JP8 (in good condition) here in Finland for about 900 euros a year ago. I thought that was also quite high price. :o

Low price! :-o.
Synth prices in Norway are not the same as in dollar.
it's more like $ *1.5 I think.
Payed NOK 24.000,- for my TI Polar, and that result a price nearly $4K (3000 euro) with a currencycalculator, but the price on webshops for Polar is $2,950.00.

Wow another new board! I still haven't gotten around to diving into all the little fatty samples - this afternoon is the day! Those plus Onkel's saw will be getting the once over. :)
Congrats on the purchase though Guzzy! I can't wait to hear what you put online with this thing. It's been ages since I've seen one in good working order actually.

The JP8 is one of my personal favourites. Actually it *IS* my favourite synth of all time. Gives off alot of heat hehe.....
Heres an old mp3 I did. This was recorded before I understood EQ...hence the cold, sharp tone.

I just tested the Arturia's JP8 plugin. I don't believe it sounds like JP8 but it's an ok soft synth. I may purchase it later.

I tried out the Arturia JP8 this evening. Its a good sounding softsynth in its own right, but I didnt hear anything too Jupiter like in it.
Guzzy....these two vids feature JP8. Enjoy....

Yes, I have a Syncrosoft dongle, iLok and Logic Pro dongle. However, I don't use a laptop. These are always connected to my computer.
