Hi All

Have I reached a limit or something?

I have 8 patches loaded in the VST and suddenly noticed that the shaker (continuous sound) patch stops as soon as another patch plays. I experimented a little also discovered that one of my reverb'd patches doesn't fire properly when some of my other patches are playing. If I mute some then it plays fine http://virusti.com/forum/html/emoticons/sad.gif

The tune isn't even supposed to be playing all 8 at the same time, just about 4 at most.

I'm not using USB for audio, just MIDI. Audio is sent out the 3 outputs into my sound card.

Any ideas?

You have ran out of voices. If you use heavy unison/poly patches, it eats up the voices really quick. Usual problems are: 1. Unison patches, especially polyphonic unison pathces, 2. long decay poly patches, 3. heavy pads.

Have you anything else running in your sequencer apart from your Virus???
Sometimes if you have a VST compressor running on other tracks Audio or VSTis,compressing to much it can take alot of power away from other parts in your sequencer...So you get a sort of dipping effect on other stuff
