just coped the Virus TI and so far it's the best purchase i've made other than my MV8000. I dig the soundz but im new to sound/patch design but i have a decent overview of of it. As far as i can tell the TI can help u create a signature Sound but some people where shocked when I bought it i guess it's mostly used in house/trance/tech but I can use a ton of the presets without much tweeking...when i do get in there and bug out with the knobs I get some CRAZY soundz that perfectly fit with what im doing. I'm going to take hip hop / r&b to another planet with this ....just wanted to say what up!!.....maybe some of your thoughts..or maby some words that will help me feel more secure with my 2000$$ purchase ( as if I don't already love it..LOL)

Welcome to the forum...
The Virus can do whatever you make it do... basically. So you can use it for any genre...I guess the reason people associate it with trance/dance genre is based on the presets, but if you get in there you can make some great patches for hip hop.
See ya around!

Yeah, go go go.
I always buy kit that was designed for the Dance/DJ VD market, and NEVER use it for that.
I'm twisted like that.
I'm using mine for guitar based pop....no really.

recently all the hip hop dudes JUST discovered techno (really) and arps.
They know how to get the most out of them too.... just hold the key down, let and arp go for 4 minutes - drop some gangsta bass and you have a song. 1 patch = 1 song :p so how many songs can you get out of a virus ti?
and hello, how are you.
