applying effects from a sequencer to a ext. synth

can anyone tell me if the effects of a sequencer (like yamaha qy700 or rm1x or roland mc808) can be applied to the sounds of an external synth which is being sequenced by it.

What I mean is for example to apply delay from the hardware sequencer to the sounds of a synth which does not hava effects, like nordlead2x.

Depends on the sequenser. I havn´t worked with any of the sequensers you mention. If it has en external audio input that can be routed directly to efx then yes. This also applies to any synth with same input option (it will work with the Virus). It works fine on my Fantom X...
