The electricpiano, synthesizer and fusion pioneer Joe Zawinul (http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5ineq1dTvO7kyN6rHToVENuwBgwKw) passed away last tuesday.

Definetly the great master is now passed from time to eternity. Although Zawinul is not anymore amongst us, his music still lives. Personally Joe's Weather Report days material was the most dear music to me and represented the most stylish keyboard wizardry in both play and sound vise ever created on this planet. Those diamonds never lose the edge and I believe his records will be the ones I'd listen as long as I live.

Thank you Joe.

I've never heard this guy's tunes, but will certainly check them out on your recommendation.

May his soul rest in peace; may he and Bob Moog jam in the heavens!

My personal favourite album from Weather Report is Black Market, although Heavy Weather is the classic WR album containing the hit Birdland. Also check out the Joe Zaqinul Syndicate for more electronic and modern fusion.

Joe was a faithful Arp A2600 user, but I don't think Bob would mind. Ähih.
