i bought a s/h classic a few months ago and everything was working fine.
yesterday i performed a factory reset so i could start with a fresh set of banks.

however, after performing the reset my classic is not receiving midi at all
im using a rme fireface 400 which is transmitting midi fine (my other synths recieve midi no problem)

setup on virus is:

midi dumo tx = single buff

midi dump rx = enable

midi global chan= 1

panel= int+midi

arpeggsend=off

clockrx= auto

midi volume =ena

progchange=ena

multiprogchg=dis

diviceID=1

lopage=contr

hipage=sysex

im tranmitting midi on channel one but still the virus does not seem to be picking it up (the little note sign does not appear)

please can someone help....im getting a little bit worried!

Everything seems to be ok on your Virus. Try taking the MIDI cable connected til Virus MIDI in and plug it into another synth. If this works and all you did was factory reset (you didn´t mess around with the cables and accidently switch MIDI in and out?) then try doing another factory reset. Still no luck; contact access tecnical support...

Oh, by the way. Just a thought. Do you daisy chain more gear on one MIDI port or use very long cables? This can cause trouble but isn´t alwey a problem...

thanks for the advice.

everything seems to be working now!
i didn't alter anything, all i did was leave it switched off for a few hours.

strange indeed.
