I'm having a problems with using the analog outputs in conjunction with the Virus|Control plug-in. The problem is that the analog output level is not the same as with the USB and S/PDIF outputs. In the case of Pro Tools LE 7.3, the analog output is significantly louder than the digital outs. The volume in VC had to be reduced down to CC51 to be the same level. In the case of Cubase SX3, the level was 5dB less than the digial outs. Pro Tools = louder, Cubase = quieter. Odd?
Here's how I have everything set up:
Pro Tools LE 7.3 w/ Mbox 2
Instrument track 1, Virus TI inserted
Instrument track 2, MIDI output to TI, channel 2... analog output to In 1-2 (alternating with S/PDIF 1-2)
Cubase SX3 w/ MOTU Ultralite
Virus|Control plug-in
MIDI 1, output to VC channel 1
MIDI 2, output to VC channel 2
Audio 1 (stereo), input to inputs 5-6
Audio 2 (stereo), input to s/pdif 1-2
Anything I'm doing wrong?
