I have a firewire solo and ever since i updated my Mac to 10.4.11 my firewire won't work. So basically my pro-tools is just an expensive logo on my desktop. I asked m-audio...and they told me they havent updated the drivers yet to support 10.4.11 only up to 10.4.10...that was 2 months ago

So what I was wondering...is does anybody on here know about an unofficail driver of some sort for the firewire solo that would be more compatibel so i can run my fuckin Pro Tools M-Powered????

thanx

Hi RB,

I'm totally unfamiliar with Mac stuff, but is there any way you can roll back (revert) the system back to the previous version?

m-audio???? NEVER again am i spending my money on any of their products!
I got a firewire solo as well, running Leopard 10.5.1. It works ok, but it hanged my system a few times.
It's been over 3 months since leopard...and still no freaking drivers. And they had beta os x way before the official release...
this is what i got from them a few days ago...

"Hi,
The official OSX 10.5 drivers will be release shortly. They are being tested as we speak. In the meantime you can sign up for drivers update email notification on the drivers download page."

Yea, yea...BS
Seriously, they had time to update their site, but no their drivers..

If it is any help, I am succesfully using a Firewire Audiophile with Leopard right now. OK, so its a different chip set and stuff but it might just be the trick for other M-Audio firewire boxes.

I get no sound from the Firewire Audiophile when I boot the MBP, but I only have to run the M-Audio control panel and click Reset to get it to work. This is so reliable that I am now in the habit of resetting the box before starting Live all the time. It even works once Live is started and audio springs back to life. Hope this works for you too.
