go to http://www.access-music.de/
--> go for the 'more' link at the 'OS 2.5.1 for Virus TI
The new OS features a RTAS........' news section.
--> go for the Download OS 2.5.1 now (http://www.access-music.de/downloads.php4?category=18)
You are now downloading the 2.7 driver for TI Snow, but it works great on TI Polar, Desktop and Keyboard.
Installed it myself on my TI Polar.

seems OK. I think it fixes a few glitches with Leopard (thank god)
(using a Polar)

I thought I was the only sucker using Leopard and a TI, yes good that the driver is better. Just little things like faster booting too with the new drivers.

maybe its just me but mine only has 2 outs/no input and 3 outs/no input - im looking for 3 outs/1 input, I plugged the audio cables from the line out on my sound card into the analog input on the Virus, enabled the output on my sound card, enabled the atomizer and all a suddon got a really LOUD noise coming out the virus with the LFO lights going crazy. I think access needs to inform the user how to make use of these new features a bit clearer or user friendly.also cant figure out how to proccess audio with the filters and FX section. but ey ill keep trying

go to virus control and in the Config/Utility it has the option to configure the Ti's usb.
has anyone found the "burn to flash" ? to store patches on the later banks as I cant find it anywhere

Burn to flash will be part of another utility program which isn't ready yet. I am really looking forward to more rom banks and being able to put some commercial banks in them!

Hello everybody. I'm a new virus ti user and just got everything running smoothly...I read this post earlier and tried installing 2.7 in Leopard and it didn't work. Ableton 7 didn't recognize it. So I switched back to 2.5 and I'm all good...no wonder they removed it!

I support Access in public betas, every one of them is a step forward. After all, it isn't officially released and Access don't ask you to install it just yet.
Everyone's experience is different and this is the fastest way for Access to test it with their customers. Thanks Access!
Cheers,

Can anyone confirm if it supports WinXP 64-bit?I'm 99% sure 2.7 will NOT include 64bit support (XP or Vista), based on Marcs recent comments on the other forums ("64bit support is not a priority at this time", or words to those effects).
And despite wanting to eventually go x64, I have to agree with him. It just wouldn't benefit enough people at the moment -- there's too many other things to add and fix first!!

That's unfortunate. I use my virus to add new texture and sounds to my orchestral compositions. So I'm switching exclusively to 64-bit so I can take advantage of the extra memory allocations to load my entire orchestra into RAM.
Anyone know of a way that I can install the drivers on XP64 to possibly use in a wrapper or bit bridge?

just be carefull with installing 32bit drivers on a 64bit OS,
since they may render your OS unbootable ...
the only possible workaround i could image would be:
to install the 32bit drivers on a 32bit machine ...
and the connect them over Wormhole VST (http://plasq.com/wormhole) into your 64bit studio.
would recommend a shielded cross-link cable for that,
because this way it would be a direct connection.
have no experience with it ... it's just an idea ;)

Increase your "page file" size... that'll help you to load your orchestral samples... it'll increase your virtual ram. It works.

virtual RAM = poor performance
also problematic with timing, due permanent harddisc access.
... definitely not recommend for an application like this.
