Simple question.
I bought a new snow and virus control is already messing up
And virus control on my normal TI just chooses not to work
So does anyone know if it is more stable on a Mac than a PC

what kind of problems are you having. Is this just with the new os 2.7Beta or are you having problems with 2.5.1 as well?
Right now I am running 2.5.1 on a pc with windows xp and it is glitch free.

probably you have to upgrade your *normal* Virus TI to the same OS as the Snow,
since this could be the reason that it stopped working with virus control ...

well virus control just tweaks on me all the time with the ti and ive ran multiple versions it just stops right now im at 2.5.0.1
as for the snow thats at the newest one out i forget.
but even the snow glitches with virus control.
ive just had horrible luck with virus control in general. it works when it wants to work essentially.
but going back to my main question of is it more stable on a mac than a pc
this pc is a rockin pc its a 3.0 core 2 duo with 2 gigs of ddr3 and a pair of 500 gig hard drives running raid 1. the sound processing is going through 2 firewire motu 828mk2's. Its a solid rig. Just virus control sucks my balls.

my config is just the 3rd part of processing power and runs VC stable ;)
so, your PC's system performance shouldn't be the reason ...
most common problems within the config are:
-> that a USB cable - shielded with a ferrit core - is definitly recommend
-> and also you should check your audio and data I/O routings
-> also flash both virii to same OS (else VC won't be compatible with one of them)
i don't think there is any difference of VC's stability between MAC and PC.
... it's probably just a matter how the whole config was setup ...
try some different setups of I/O routing until you get it stable.
you can tweak them in VC's *common* tab ... under *output*
have had similiar problems in the beginning and was a bit
disappointed until i figured out where the glitches coming from.

thanks a lot for that info...
also another question.
last night i upgraded the os on the regular ti to the newest version
it seems that I can only run 1 virus control at a time either for the ti or the snow, even though they are 2 different vst's
if i try to load the second one it give me the 2 bottom bottom red X's talking about audio problems right below the 2 green check marks and wont work

don't have too much clue of Ableton ... but it sounds to me like
both plugins would be configured to use the same input channel.
so the first loaded plugin occupies that channel on load and then
the second one can't use it anymore, since it's already in use.
maybe try to load one plugin at a time and assign different input channels to them ...
and then try load both at once again. hope this should solve the conflict.
it's only an idea, since i have no 2nd virus to verifiy, what i just wrote
if it not helps - maybe start a new thread about multi-virus configurations.
good luck!!
