Hello great many aspiring and current owners of various virulent "God-synths",

I am an aspiring virus owner [saving up for a KC] and basically wanted to connect and chat with virus owners to see what is to come, another few months of saving and I should have enough to hit ebay up for what its got.

Hopefully many of my questions will be answered before I introduce the virus to my studio [something I've been wanting to do for a great amount of time!]

take care and thank you for your time/putting up with my questions.

Welcome Black Gnosis! My Virus KC was my first synth, and still my favorite. You will not be disapointed. It is awesome, powerful, fun to program, and built like a tank. I bought mine as a "Scratch & Dent" special from Musician'sFriend.com for $1,700 in October 2004, ans still can't figure out what the hell its classified as such for, it's perfect. They do show up on eBay pretty regularly. I bought a Clavia Nord Lead 2 recently for $670 and am very fond of it too, but if I had to choose between it and my Virus, there's no question I would choose the KC, every time!

It's undisputedly the centrepiece of my studio. Every day I learn/hear something new, it constantly surprises me.

You'll love it.

honesty I go to guitar center to fuss with the TI endlessly, messing around, making tit blurp, beep and powerhouse the place with thundering arpeggios...

I cant wait to actually get the C in my studio...

I was very distressed this may first when the TI prices went up, even on Novamusic the reboxed synths went from afforable to what was the new price x.x.

I suppose they wanted more money. Lets hope the next generation of Virus lowers the prices a bit further. [I'm thinking the next gen will have motorized knobs and better realtime interfacing. =) ]

Pleased to meet you all here ^^ I'll poke around and ask annoying things till I get it...then I will prolly be found dead in my studio a few weeks later holding a few key cause I never left the virus to eat/sleep/bath/work/excrete things....
