I want to use my Virus TI (polar) as a midi-interface for a extra keyboard (Korg MicroKontrol) to control VST's. But, when I hookup the Korg trough the Virus's MIDI in/outs it controls the Virus. How do I take care that the extra controller is not controlling the Virus but the virtual instruments in my DAW?

probably you have to switch it to *remote mode* first.
just press SHIFT + CONFIG buttons at the same time ... then it will act as a controller ;)

also take care of proper MIDI routing inbetween the units ... since this may be an issue in this case.
just take a piece of paper and a pen to structure the relations as you require them.

Thanks for your answer but I don't want the Virus to be a controller. I want de Korg to be a controller of VST's trough the Virus' MIDI connections.

Your suggestion to draw the scheme on paper is a good start indeed, first thing when I'm home. ;)

i assume you currently have the Korg plugged into the Virus MIDI-IN

have you ever tried to plug the Korg MIDI-OUT into Virus MIDI-THRU ...
and the Virus MIDI-OUT into the soundcard's MIDI-IN ??
