Hey everyone

I have a virus ti snow. I run logic 8 on an imac

I have had my snow hooked up via the usb and producing music fine BUT i want it to be used with the atomizer as well and to make it my sound card (my midi keyboard used to be used but thats just died on me)

My imac has a headphone out and a microphone in . no midi inputs etc. I have hooked up via usb and i have tried all combinations to hook up my inputs and out puts other than midi as i have nothing to connect the midi to

Am i going to need an external sound card to get around this so i can use the atomizer?

Is there a way without using the external sound card

When i hook up my headphone out to my virus in put and then my virus output to my microphone input i get no sound and no way to then take the sound to my monitor speakers

I am hoping someone can help because everyone i know uses a pc with theirs so its totally different and this is getting annoying

I hope i have explained it well please feel free to ask questions if you feel you can help

You've got it partially right. All you need is the Virus and iMac... no need for an external sound card.

1. Go to iMac System Preferences > Sound... set output device to "built-in audio"
2. Connect iMac headphone outs to Virus inputs
3. In the Virus' Config menu... set the input to Analog
4. Turn Atomizer on
5. Play something in iTunes and start Atomizing!
