I can not record my Snow to Cubase as audio?

I can see the sound coming out of the master channel in cubase and have set the output of the Snow to USB 1. However no luck any ideas?

Also when playing the output through USB there is a latency, however this is not so when setting the output as out1 left & right any ideas how to sort this?

Thanks

PS: The Snow is brilliant!

Correct me if Im wrong but I think your problem is that you are recording the way you would with an ordinary or "old school" synth which you would do via analog inputs/outputs and cubases record button, if you are using USB you need to solo the track you wish to export set the locators and use cubase's export->audio mixdown option (i have this on shortcut key
'E') also keep in mind you need to set your export option to "real time" to avoid any unwanted artifacts.

Thanks for the reply Seanpace. I am still not able to record a midi track as audio using just the usb cable in Cubase.

I selected track 1 which is midi going into my snow.

Then went to file export audio mixdown and when i clicked export

It said i should set to real time how do I do this? Also the audio file then saved is not the same length as the midi file and has no sound?

Also I was under the impression you could record via the USB like origanal audio outputs as the midi track played back in cubase it recorded as an audio track in cubase?

Any help appreciated.

yup , hit the nail on the head..

this confused the shit out of me for quite a while when I first got the Ti.
I couldn't understand that I could hear the virus via the usb but couldn't record the sound when I selected the virus synth as my input/output driver.

It seems that the virus soundcard and the virus synth do not share anything at all , they are totally seperate devices more akin to having another audio card in your computer.

I record via the spdif into my digital mixer, then into the PC or export as audio.
Remember though that you need to do it in REAL TIME EXPORT or it won't work - this is found on the same page that your export file details are on.

Cubase questions have to be posted on General discussion about music production (http://www.infekted.org/virus/forumdisplay.php?f=106)

I don't think this is a cubase problem.

There is no option to export in real time, apparently it is only on studio, I have essentials.

It would appear then that the only was I can record audio from my Virus is the old fashion way of recording from snow via phono cables into cubase is this correct?

hmmm , cubase is tricky then.

not sure if it will work but try a phono cable between the digital in and out, or even jacks between the analogues

if you are able to get sound into cubase via the virus control plug-in... then I would suggest routing the output of the plug-in to a new track and recording the output. I don't know much about cubase in particular... but most "bouncing" features of programs are aimed at mixing audio which as already been "materialized" into an audio track.

hi,i also had the same problem.goto the bus on the audio channel you want to use and set the input(top) to output and the output(bottom)to no bus then press record and it works :)

hope i explained it well :D

oh and when you want to listen to your recording set the bus back to1.(top) stereo in and 2.(bottom)stereo out
