Hello guys, im from old school so I like record every track one by one, mix them and final masterize and I refuse to record my tracks with computers so im looking for a home studio recorder and I found two interesting products with very similar features, both are solid state recorders working with memory cards for storage, compressed/uncompressed sound, both are pretty same products and price but I dont know what brand is better or have more reputation in sound quality for record porpuses, they are Marantz and Tascam if we talk about sound quality what do you think?.

I don't know how many tracks you can record on these machines, but I think a hard disk recorder suits you better if you want to record more than one track and mix. There are a couple by Roland, Korg and Yamaha and most of them have a built in cd burner.

Yes, you are absolutely right dude, maybe is better for me save some money and buy a multitrack recorder, Tascam have a few nice ones.
Thank you.

I've no experience of Marantz' recording hardware, but my very positive experiences with their hi-fi equipment over the years and general opinion of them being very good quality for the money means that I would be inclined towards Marantz over Tascam.
