View Full Version : OS 2.7.5 --> sync and pitch issues?

After updating my TI Snow from 2.7.3 to 2.7.5 it seems I'm getting weird sync and pitch-slide issues in Cubase Studio 4.5.

Especially the arpeggiator seems to be problematic, and the timing issues seem to get worse when tweaking the knobs on the Snow's frontpanel. At times the audio can't hold its pitch and starts to whine as if a monkey is hitting the pitchbend stick...

Anyone else getting this? I didn't have it with the 2.7.3 OS version.

I seem to get those same pitch and sync errors with version 2.7.5. I play a two bar pattern and the first bar note seems to fluctuate it's pitch.

Are you playing with the "Live" button down? I always find when that button is down any time dependent material goes haywire after a while unless I'm using the Virus ASIO drivers in my host and have set the Virus to manage midi clock (normally I use NI Kore drivers)

I am running on a mac, but no I don't have the live button pressed down. All audio for me goes through my Apogee Ensemble. Sync should be through USB for the VC controlled Ti.

Here are my specs for troubleshooting purposes:

Mac Pro Quad core 2.6 ghz
OSX 10.5.6
4 GB ram
1.5 TB hard drives
Logic Pro 8.02
Apogee Ensemble

Virus Ti Desktop:
VC used is AU format
Version 2.7.5 for the Virus

I have the exact same problem, but my Host sequencer is FL 8. This has been a problem for me ever since I bought my Desktop (nearly half a year ago), kinda ridiculous really considering the money I spent on it.

i am also having the random pitch issues. i'll stop the project, and open/close the virus VST and seems to fix it.

i'm also having issues with some projects saying i've exceeded USB bandwidth limits... i've had to resort back to only 2 outputs. sucks balls because the only reason i upgraded to 2.7.X was for the 3rd output : \

Nope, I had the same problems in 3.0. That's why I went back to 2.7.3 - which has been the most stable OS version for me so far.

You can safely try out 3.0 however, since downgrading is just as easy as upgrading. And I hope they do fix the 3.0b soon, because the new UI and the new sonic goodies are truly great stuff!

you should get in touch with access support. those pitch drifts are very likely the result of USB problems which can be solved. they always were there and we always were able to assist users to solve them. they don't have much to do with the TIOS version, early versions apart which indeed had flaws causing all that.
