Don't mean to brag but.....oh who tha fuck am I kidding, of course I'm bragging....

1. MF-103 12-Stage Phaser (http://www.moogmusic.com/moogerfooger/?section=product&product_id=91)
2. Pigtronix PHI Echolution
3. Electro-Harmonix Frequency Analyzer

Haven't received the Pigtronix yet but am panting by the door like a chihuahua awaiting it's benevolent master....

Could be a unique signal chain? Could create a 'truly unique sound'!?! Time will tell......

Little annoyed NONE of these have any kind of midi capability.....

I like the sound of the Electro-Harmonix Frequency Analyzer, but the manual on their site is very concise. Any chances of some "before and after" MP3 demos of it being used on a Virus? I'd be interested in a hardware equivalent of Ableton's Resonator. I know this is obviously a lot more limited (in terms of control of adding harmonics) and can be used in other ways, but is it remotely similar or have I got the wrong end of the stick?

Hey there, the Frequency Analyzer is basically a ring-modulator, many of the things it can do are already there on your Virus (I'm referring to the FM functions in particular). Check out Devo if you want to hear it used well on guitars.....

I'm using it in a weird combo with other synths and effects, and I'm hoping to put up a few wanky -youtube videos next week demoing my new effects and the sonic weirdness that comes from having a whole bunch of different stuff! ;) I'll keep you posted.....

The great thing about going 'modular' is you can bung something like a LPF at the end of your signal chain. Of course this is what you do when you add an effect in your DAW, but I'm afraid the difference in sound really is huge, virtual effects don't sound as good.....I truly wish they did....
