Hi folks,

I have a problem regarding the Virus syncing properly when I load it up in VirusControl. A message appears in the bottom of the Plugin which says "A sync error occured. Press stop and play to clear", but I tried it and it didn't work. I'm very inexperienced with hardware synths, this is actually my first one, so any help would be great!

Thanks a bunch in advance!

I had the same problem until I installed a USB 2.0 card into my computer and connected the virus TI to it. Now it works for me.

Likewise! This has always been a problem for me. I thought this new OS would finally clear all my problems, but no. I've had my Ti since the summer and it STILL doesn't work!

Hey mates

I found it! I can solve that turning down the samples/buffer paremeter in my soundcard... Thus, my system send more audio data through USB port and Virus works without syncing errors. Hope it will be succesful for you guys!

Hey dude, I've tried something different actually. It seems to work, but there is one problem which is why I'm here.

Ok folks, so I think I resolved the Sync issue. You see, I was using my primary sound driver with the TI and I always go the sync error message, so I tried changing to my ASIO drivers and opened up VC and played a simple Kick pattern with an offbeat bass from the Virus, and I didn't get the sync error message! The problem is though, I'm getting no sound at all, even though the Virus and FL studio respond to it...

Any help at all would be great! And I'll say it again, I'm a hardware noob, so go easy on me :o Thanks a bunch in advance :p

Hey man,

I can't think of what the problem could be...Really annoying :(

it means that the usb data wasn't transmitted in time. that usually indicates that something is wrong with the computer USB side of things. access support can help you out i'm sure.

best, marc

Hey, thanks for the reply. Like I said though, I think I may of fixed the problem, well the sync issue at least, by changing to ASIO drivers. However, the problem that consists then is no sound coming from my host, but sound still comes from everything else. It just happens in FL :(

Have you tried restarting the host application since switching to Asio?

You also might benefit from checking that the output device is set correctly in the host.

What type of USB ports do you have? If it's 1.0 or 1.1 then that may go some way to explaining the problem. If it's 2.0 then that should be fine..

Everything seems fine in the host, It's USB 2.0. I've had this problem before, but it was fixed when I restarted the host, but it doesn't seem to be working this time :( Thanks for the reply though, appreciate it!

I get the same message in Live 7.14. I am starting to regret installing this beta release, but it was just too tempting:).
I never had this issue with 2.7.5:confused:

Nope, Fl Studio 8, although when I had the demo of Live 7 it didn't work either, but that was with OS 2.7.5.

Stick with 2.7.5. I have the Snow as well and that seems to be the most stable for me. OS.3 isn't very stable (given the fact that it is just a beta anyway).

I don't know how the Snow copes with different OS's, you should ask somebody more expierienced than me :p I don't think I'm having a sync issue anymore though, just a soundcard driver issue.

Ok thx anyway "alan2008" and sorry "glenn303" for the double post:P, i stick with the os 2.75.. i realized in Flstudio that if you keep the time signature settings down (as low as possible)...(ppq settings) it does not go off sync...have to try out more:)
