KC reboots when playing the keys

I'm about to purchase a second hand KC, but the owner says that sometime the virus "reboot" while playing the keys.
it never happens while the kc is remotely played (ie connected to a sequencer or a master keyboard)
have you ever heard of this problem ?
any obvious solution ?
should I stay away from this board and start looking elsewhere ?
