I'm using my TI (thru USB) in Ableton.

But I'm only able to load one instance of the TI into one midi channel, I have managed to get diff channels working on it by fiddling with the routing.

Is there an easy way round this?, or do I have to set each channel to route to the a virus channel?

Multimode or Virus Control mode? It sounds like your trying to use instantiate Virus Control on multiple midi channels. This is not possible. You must create multiple midi channels and route the output to the Virus Control track, then select the appropriate midi channel.

I hope this helps.

Virus control mode, I get multiple channels to work, but why do I have to click the original ableton track I set VC on to launch it everytime I need it?

Like Monobeat mentioned, you can have only one Virus Control Mode running. All other MIDI channels are just used to route the signal from the Channel which is running Virus Control. Hence, you need to click on the main channel to access Virus Control.

You can pretend to click on the track you want to click on, but you still have to click on the Virus Control track to get to the editor.
