Ever since I switched off Virus Control I've been back in love with the functionality of the Virus TI. As soon as I load Virus Control in cannot get audio in and out of the Motu 828 MKII. It's definetly a conflict...

I'd love to use VC and my Motu at the same time.

I'm sure that's some setting in your host - what host are you using? I use a motu ultralite as my soundcard and virus control all the time (mac with live, but I also used to use logic)

I am sure you have them both at the same USB root hub. try to locate the ti or the muto (not both!) to a different usb connector. don't use a hub for them.

Nope. Rule #1 of Virus TI = Never use a hub...

Access just keeps telling me to move my peripherals around to differnt USB ports... etc.. etc.. etc... I am nearly positive there is some kind of collision with the TI software/OS/Interface Firmware. With only the TI and the MOTU 828 MKII, I get no i/o with the motu. When I unhook the TI, the Motu lights up. Dammmo.

Hmmm, thats a strange case.
I use a MOTU 8PRE, with 3 other synths connected and everythings working fine.
Thats a very weird kind of collision you mention.

I need a magical fairy wand to sprinkle some magic on these devices to make them groovy happy.

hi

i own a ti desktop + a motu 828 mk2 usb and logic, no problem with my imac alu.

when your virus and your motu are ON and then you start LOGIC, go and see in the audio preferences if the motu is set to be your sound card (and not the virus)

I've tried all that stuff. I am systems engineer/ workflow supervisor in Hollywood and I've used all my professional resources to troubleshoot this on my own. One strange thing, it worked for about 5 minutes at one point with the same setup... then after much rejoicing and I then tried to sample lots of parts that desperately to be, then it quit again. As long as both VC and Motu are connected there is problems with the Motu.

How about Ableton Live, do you use that at all?
