Hi all,

Quick question.
Will the TI Snow do whatever the B can do, meaning effects, poly etc.
I know the Snow has a lot of new features compared to the B.
But right now I'm looking at it from a "replacement" perspective not a "feature" perspective.

Thanks

All Virus are backwards compatible with regards to patches and features, meaning any patch you take from an older model will sound the same on a newer model.
The "Classic" Oscillators haven't changed (from perspective of the user) since the VirusA AFAIK.

So, I believe the answer is yes it will, and much more. :D

It's even forward compatible regarding the patches if the "new" features are not used :)
The thing that concerns me is not the compatiblity with the patches, I just don't want to end up were a chord on the B will work but not on a Snow, because of Y reason.
I don't think it will be a problem, just want to make sure that whatever the B can do the Snow can do.

that won't be a problem, patches are compatible, but be aware of that the snow is 4 part mutlitimbral. the voice count is the same as a B.

I bought a Snow some weeks ago, and sold my old VirusB. I´m absolutly happy about this change.
It was very easy to import my B-presets. And i cant hear any difference.
There seems to been a similar count of voices at both models if you use your VirusB-Sounds.

The only loss at the Snow are the missing knobs at the front panel.
Advantage over the B are:
- fantastic VST integration
- Delay and Reverb at every part
- additional filters and oscilators
- it fits perfect in my bag

Any Ti series would do. I have a TI desktop but I almost never use the knobs because most are mapped to the midi controller. With the VC plugin the hardware unit only gets touched to turn on or off. I unplug the power every time because the transpose Led pulses if I dont, even when off.

Thanks again for the input.
Will most likely get a Snow, just going back and forward if I should just jump to the TI2 to get a bit more "future"-headroom :)
