Sync Access clock with Sequencer

Hello, I think this my first post here. I'm using Virus Polar with Cakewalk Sonar, only set up with MIDI right now, no TI at the moment.

My problem is that the rhythmic patches in the Virus don't start at the same time as my sequencer, even with BPS the same. I understand why, but I'm just not sure how to fix it.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

In the config menus, under MIDI, set the MIDI clock to Sync to External.

That should do the trick, although if there are signature changes in the song (a single bar of 3 beats for example), the Virus can still get out of whack w.r.t. the sequencer.
