Last night when i played around with my TI Desktop i noticed the following bug with a certain sound i had selected.
I work with the latest firmware release 3.0.1.12 on my TI Desktop and was running it in standalone mode.
It happened with the following sound -> from the OS3 New FX example patches -> Sound nr. 5 with the name AutoKit BC
When you turn the Type/Mix knob in the Distortion selection and try to select a different Distortion the lights suddenly get "stuck" -> Then all lights turn off except for the Display which will stay on.
After 5 sec. or so everything will come back on and a short noise can be heard over the speakers.
It can be reproduced every time when turning the Type/Mix knob.
Can somebody else reproduce this bug with a TI Desktop (or maybe another type of Virus TI) ?
Just wonder if it is my unit or a firmware thingy.
Hi,
You are not alone. Look here:

Same sort results under different curcomstances.
I wil try when I'm at home to reproduce it.
Hopefully access can reproduce it as well. They are looking for persons who can help them reproduce a crashing Virus Ti

marc, what kind of information are you looking for?

a way to reproduce the sporadic crashes people experienced which are not based on tweaking FX parameters. there were reports that just browsing through patches crash the virus and we cannot make sense out of it - it simply doesn't happen here.

to be more clear:
By me (and I think also by fender2k1 as a read in an other post) it does not happen when switching sounds during play, but after switching sounds during play and then stop (or hit pause as fender 2k1 wrote)the sequencer. (in my case Cubase SX3)
By me it's not sporadic. I can let it happen in just a few seconds.
Even with the most simple setup:
1 miditrack in cubase with output "Virus Ti" on midichannel 1
4 full notes recorded and make a loop.
Press play, and switch sounds in Virus control (mc 1)and press the space bar to stop the sequencer or push the stop button in the transport bar.
In my case after several switches and stops it will crash
Hopefully we can sort things out
