i´m using the TI2 now for 3 Months or so now without any display problem, but yesterday as a turned the ti on the display suddenly had a cross in it
or better to describe it looks like a cross where the display should show the parts of the letters and numbers
allready did a reset->pressing arp edit and power on->no luck
had the os 3.0.1.09 which worked without any display error for 3 or 4 months
installed the 3.0.1.12 yesterday, no change with the display error
is there any other way to reset the virus? or any other solution?
thx

wrote the support yesterday
anyone having such a problem with the display??
i thought the built quality of the virus ti is really good, and i hope the display is only a software problem

i doubt that this is a software problem. those displays fail sometimes, it is rare but it happens. they are standard parts and as everything else, in actually fairly rare cases, they have faults which surface after a while.

Looks to me that the chip which controls the display is a bit buggy.
Definately a hardware problem...but not the display itself.

no, the chip is not buggy. not everything is buggy all the time ;) something things are just damaged. if you take this display and put it into another TI it will behave the same.

If the cross would be death pixels this would also be visible on the second picture...which is not....that's why i guess its the chip and not the display.
Anyways....the answer will be somewhere in the middle... ;)

so....the access support told me if you can´t fix it with a reset (hold arpedit and power up) then its a hardware/display error, so i have to send it to my dealer
luckily i bought the unit in germany via Thomann, so they gonna send ups to me to pick it up and also return it for free

Hey absynth,
That's the same problem I have with mine, only on the vertical and not the horizontal. In exactly the same place too so I guess I have the same fault :( It does not happen all the time though, intermittent. My only concern is my TI is probably just over 2 years old now so well out of warranty I should imagine and whilst I still have all the original packaging, if it has to go back to Germany it's a pretty hefty bit of kit so It'll prob cost a small fortune to ship / repair! Anyone know if there is a UK service center I can take it to?
Cheers.

oh man...i feel your pain
really a shame somehow and not what your expecting from a 1800 € synth
and my unit is completely new and had this display error
luckily i just got mine back repaired yesterday from access service in germany
don´t know what they exactly did with the display, but i guess they just exchanged it with a new one
i really hope this does not happen anymore
