Hello, I will buy myself a Virus. I used to have a Virus C years ago, but I sold it (no time for music). Now I am back and having first wanted a used C (which is quite cheap these days), I am now quite attracted by the new Ti line.
Used Ti's can be had quite a bit cheaper than the new Ti2, so the question is what are the real relevant differences?
I found:
- Ti2 has 25% more DSP power (more voices and effects)
- different design (I prefer the old Ti1)
- The question is, will Access bring new features that will bring the older Ti1 to it's limits in terms of processing power, or will the Ti 1 do everything one needs?
I mean 80 or 110 voices is only of theoretical interest. If ever voices are running short, all one has to do is to record a voice intensive sound on HD and go on.
I remember the Virus A being short on voices with some doubled pad sounds, but already with the C I never hit a limit.
But I do not know how power consuming the new features are.....
So, if someone can help here...
Thanks
bernie
