hiya,im having a bit of trouble getting the OS updates above 3.0.0.0 to work properly.everytime i try and put anything higher on and load logic it cant scan the AU for the virusTI and comes up with a warning saying there is a conflict with a program called protect executer which is to do with my dongle that i use for nexus 2.when i take the dongle out and run the newer version of OS it works fine but thats not really good cause i want to be able to use nexus aswell.it does give the option to ignore the issue on the warning menu but then it will run normal for about 10 mins and then theres a horrible screechin sound all the LED's go out it kind of resets it self and then all the presets are all out of sync.
before this problem i have never had a problem with my virus concerning the OS and i was thanking myself lucky when reading the posts about problems people have on here but now im in the same boat.:-(

is anybody else getting this problem?

i am using leopard 10.5.7 an logic 8.0.2 by the way,

thanks.

the message just indicates that you're having a root hub problem (the TI and the dongle are using the same root hub). the problem was there all the time, only 3.0 starts to inform you about the problem. and it has nothing to do with the crash problem you're experiencing. are you using version 3.0.3.00 ?

no i am using 3.0.0.0 if i go any higher i get the problem.im not sure i understand when u say they are usin the same hub and the problem is there all the time cause it only happens when i put the versions above 3.0.0.0 on.what did you mean by this?to me it seems like the latest versions dont work with the dongle which is a problem.

It doesn't strait the problem it informs you about the problem.

Try to connect to another USB connector. I don't know what computer model you got but you might have 2 USB-hubs in your machine. Connecting the dongle and the Ti on different hubs will(should) avoid the problem.

Hm, I guess that most if not all PC laptops have a single root hub. so it renders that using virus vst along with dongle demanding vst can be problematic on PC laptop?

no worries :)

my mac book pro has the same problem, the left port is shared through a root hub. as long as it is a low speed device (like a mouse, eventually a dongle or for instance a bluetooth receiver) it should be fine. if you share a drive or a memory stick, you probably will run into problems.
the warning is designed to help you finding a port which is not shared (to avoid a potential problem). it doesn't mean that it cannot work.
