Hi,

I have got the midi output of my masterkeyboard connected to the midi input of my Virus Ti Snow.
Audio output 1+2 connected to my active speakerset (or output-left to my headphones).

but i dont hear a thing!?!?

i want to use the virus as standalone synth and together with my cubase 4 sequencer (with and without VC software).

can someone please help me? i use 30300 software.
thank you!

Is the Snow listening on the Midi port the master keyboard is sending on? Is the cable working? Is the keyboard actually sending midi data? What mode is the snow in, single, SEQ or multi?

ok. i just figured something out.
when my computer is turned off, or my cubase is closed, i can hear my snow when my midi keyboard is connected to the midi in (single, seq and multi mode).

BUT when i start cubase, this wont work anymore..
i can hear my virus when i load VC as vstinstrument, but when i just want to add a midi channel (input masterkeyboard, output RME Fireface Midi 2), my Virus wont react in seq or multi mode (no music note will appear in the right corner of the Snow display....)

Do you receive the midi note in Cubase? I am bit flying blind here as I don't have Cubase so excuse if my suggestions are outright stupid. I have a setup similar and if works fine however it is using logic. Are you routing the midi out to a different (second) midi interface that is not connected to the snow?

when i play my midi keyboard, cubase does receive midi notes. the midi in and out are directly connected to the snow. output of the snow is directly connected to input 5+6 of my RME fireface400.
if i add an empty midi channel with midi input masterkeyboard and midi output to the snow, i dont hear a thing.. even when i connect my headphones to the snow's audio output..seems like the snow does not receive any midi trought the midi cables? it works when i use the VC as vst instrument. both usb as output1+2 work but when i want to use the "normal" midi cables, i dont hear a thing..tried different midi cables allready..

Ok, lets try some elimination.

If you run the snow standalone using the master keyboard midi out as an input to your snow you get audio output on 1+2. Therefore we can conclude that the midi port on your snow works.

The snow works fine when it is connected via USB to your DAW (nothing else connected) and it plays your tracks?

Now connect the master keyboard to the midi in on the snow can you now hear both the input from the DAW and from the keyboard?

I am experiencing the same issue.

Have had everything working fine via another midi interface.

Thought I would try the Access as a solo. The issue I get is after all the installation the MIDI optins in both windows and Cubase for the VirusTI does not appear at all.

Any pointers please.
