Hey guys

My freind writes exclusivly in fruity loops, and so I wanted to set it up again in my studio.

However, I cannot get my virus snow to play in time :( too much latencey

have any of you managed to do it ?

it's like other DAW

in fl, open a new channel "midi out"

choose the preset "access virus"

choose the good midi channel

in option in fl, turn the midi channel to control the virus (choose the good channel )

the midi out controller in fl will control your virus,

piano roll of the midi out channel will be your keyboard!

have fun!

sure do you got a Sound Interface ... firewire , usb , pci - e ? ... if yes take it in FL and set the latency of your soundcard / interface to around 10ms and dont forget to push the Live button in your Virus Control

No, I was using the Virus as the soundcard.

I had simular problems, read the manual AGAIN, googled it, searched here, disabled 2nd CPU, updated CPU bios, etc, etc..

For me, it wasn't just a case of adjusting latency, latency would vary every time I started playback, and sometimes it would change DURING playback...

All I could do is install ableton live 8, figure that sucker out, and leave FL Studio dead in the ditch... I know some people have got it to work ok, but I'll be damned if I can figure it out.. (Worked like a treat in ableton live straight up) - Sorry, none of that was any help.

Cheers cutters!

TBH I'm a logic user, in which it works quite damn well. I wanted to get it working in fruity, due to its ability to write hardstyle easier. Ill just learn it in Logic. (im not new to music production, but really struggle with hardstyle kicks)

I tried Fl to see how a few fetures worked. I soon went back to cubase though after struggerling to solve my latency issues.
