Adds a nice professional 'snap' to the attack transients of audio, particularly on drums I've found. Sadly no modulation of attack times though, but it's free.

Beware of the conditions though guys, you won't be able to use this when upgrading your PC unless you buy it. I'd call it a glorified demo, but still it looks wonderful.

I use EnvelopeShaper in Cubase 4 for this sorta stuff.
