Sounds awesome! I'm picturing some features similar to Massive's performer perhaps? Formant and comb filters too? Hope the new OS is supported on the first TI series :)

Me too. Hopefully they get a nice stable release as well. I reckon if the TI could integrate drawable LFO perfomance like NI Massive then it would be hands down my go to synth for making sounds. Longing for the day when you can simply draw lfo curves by hand to completely customise your ideas.

That was so awesome last year when 3.0 came out and we could play with it the first day of namm. I don't think it will be that big of a leap, but I felt like I got a new synth that day - and it made me smile.

"We only used single sounds and no additional effects"

No FX?! The Single Sounds are the FX? What? Pre-effected wavetables? What?!

Sounds very ery lush - be great with Atomizer or pushing whole mixes or external instruments through...

One thing i love about the Virus - it's an evolving synth Keep up the good work Access '_'

The demo sounds very much like comb filtering to me. The way it destroys the sound like it does.

New Filters... FINALLY...

OS will be for TI-series as well...

Access has turned January into my favourite month of the year. Screw December. :D I wonder if last years NAMM can be beaten this year, Access/Ableton/V-Synth updated : ) That defined my year.

If custom Wavetable support comes in, I'll go buy another Virus. I want the Limited Edition white desktop :( Definitely some amazing Formantizing going on in the demo. I hope they have a new sexy look too :D

OS will be for TI-series as well...

Source? Even if it is available for both there's nothing to say it will be powerful enough to run on the TI1 is there?

Cool, I wonder if you really need this extra 25% of the ti2 to use these features properly?

Do you need a 25% faster PC to run windows?
No. But you can use the 25% to run more programs.

Same thing with the Ti. You get more voices/effects. But that's about it. The architecture of the synth is the same, only difference is the extra DSP power gathered through optimization.
I'm pretty sure the Ti2 still has 2 DSP Chips, same as the TI1.

If the difference was 100% (or 400% like the UAD-2 vs. UAD-1 for example) then Access would probably make some more DSP intense additions to the Ti2 which the Ti1 couldn't handle.
But that's not the case.

Not a great analogy since some plugins just would and could not run on an older pc. So what I was wondering was if there would be any new features that the ti couldn't handle.

I was counting on some common sense. My mistake.

No.

Gotta hand it to Access... these OS updates are a superb addition. Love the vowel filter.

Is there a better overall synth than the Virus TI? I don't think so.
