Well, I'm a newb to Virus.
The fact is that I just bought a re-boxed Virus Snow from Novamusik.com and some things are strange with my order, wrong itens and more... So I need your help guys.
Well, there's a bit of distortion in some patches. For example, if I hit a chord on the preset ROM1 1-7 IntntentSV I can hear this distortion more apparent.
Is this normal?
thanks for your help guys

Try lowering the ringmodulation. Sometimes it creates a distorted sound, its good for dirting things up.

ShortBus, doen'st have any ring modulation in this sound. The problem is like the sound is too loud, it's clipping resulting in a undesired clip distortion.. strange..

Check your signal flow? I normally leave the volume knob at about 50 percent and adjust the rest of my gear accordingly.

What patches are they maybe you can list them so we can try them on our Ti's.

I don't know if Polar has this preset it is called "IntntentSV".
Hit a full chord.
feedingear, my master volume is in less than 50%. this doesn't matter here, I've monitored the Virus by USB connection in Logic, seems that the signal is clipping internal, before the output you know? It's like reaching very hard the internal limiter and causing clips... The signal in the logic channel meter looks like a overcompressed track with no dynamics you know? Reaching 0 db "internal" almost no moves.. This happens with this patch and some other pad sounds when i close the cutoff filter.

I fired up that patch and notice its got a bit of crackle and distortion listening to it through my monitors in stand alone mode, but havent tried it through VC.

I haven't tried the patch on my Snow. But, I noticed this distortion element in some patches too. Especially patches, which I'm dead sure didn't have this distortion.
It could be an OS thing. :(
There is a pad patch, D+C HS (Not sure of the name, but it's by Howard Scarr) which definitely didn't have distortion last year, lol. I'm running the latest release. It could be the OS update, but I will confirm the details, once this hangover fades away :p

I experienced the same with a lots of patches of Snow, but it is since i "upgraded" to OS 3.3.5 .More pronounced with VC, but it happens without VC, too. I hope it's because of OS...
