Definantly, I have a few electro patches that you would swear up and down that they were made with an analog synth, I will upload an mp3 later. Deadmau5 has one though I dont know how much he uses for bass. One trick is less effects to get that raw crunchy sound.

Hey, I'm just learning but I made this track with a virus ti.

It started off as an attempt at electro but got a bit too dark and driving I suppose.

it sounds like there is still more that can come out of the virus though.. right ?
Many pros use the virus and get a huge sound right ?
is it like a sweet spot in the virus that you have to tweak just right ??

Made quite a lot really. Percussion is all 1 shot samples. the sounds are slightly changes presets in the virus ti.

Currently working on that.

Im jst learning and the pro's would do way better with a virus. I like it purely from easy. I've got a nord rack 2 and a KS rack aswell. They hardly get touched. Work flow on the virus is just so quick.
