hey...not sure if this is how u want it to sound....

but i found......u need to mix it better.....some parts are drowned in distortion....
the drums are too roomy....too acoustic sounding with the rest of the electronic elements......

have u used distortion on all the parts or is the track clipped ??

apart from that...the music is nice...nice composition.....

its the technical aspects that need cleaning up.....

but if this is the sort of sound u are after..then ignore my comments....

good luck

:)

Yeah I have to agree with Nutrino - the distortion feels more like clipping then actually complimenting or creating new and interesting tones - overall it sounds like the track is going into the red a lot. And the stereo spread/pan on the drums/overall mix feels like its drowning out the rest of your synth stuff.

Theres some nice melodies in there but you could probably cut the tune into 3minutes and say exactly the same things musically then you did in 6. It's a bit lengthy for my tastes. There are some good moments though - I just reckon you should refine it and reexamine the mix.

My two cents :)

Thanks for the feedback guys. You are not the only ones to criticise the amount of distortion and the length of the tune. It's not clipping, it really is just distortion.. Only the lead sound and (most of the time) the drums are actually running through distortion. Maybe you guys are right and I pushed it a bit too hard.. it's tricky trying to fit as much teeth as possible without it starting to sound trashy.

I'm not about to go back and change it but this is all useful for the next tune I make :>
