HI...
i dont have a very good environment to record..nor do i have the best equipment....pretty bad actually..
I made a few recordings with a local band...but i really really do not like the results....lots of things about it are messed up...
also the drums are sequenced and the drummer brought it all in one stereo audio file...so that made it harder to mix....

could you'll please listen and give me some tips about the mix and stuff..i am gonna record a few more songs, and i want them to turn out better...

thanks

here is the link...3 songs...

Gods own child :

The drums need re doing i think, a lot of phasing in the hihats/cymbals and the kik and snare are lost in each other.
I would work on seperating the drum tracks (if recorded seperately, trak 1 kik/track2 snare...and so on). Use some eq and compression.
The vocals are nice maybe some mild reverb to create some space.
Listening the drums are just not snappy or punchy.
Your main problem is the percussion audio capture. :(
Good luck
Im just enthusiastic...never claim to be a pro. Just my opinions.

What I think is if you are going to record live you need expensive microphones and etc ... all these you can find them in a studio , to pay per hour so to record your songs.. Strange the drums are sequenced and sound so poor, you need to play with compression filters from your sequencer / final mixing program
