Hey guys been reading up on the ti line, to start Ive owned K2600, emu e4, minimoog D, jv2080, but never picked up a VA before. Sold ts10 and now have cash for a virus ti or ti2.

My question is should I go for a ti1 at about 1600 or go for the ti2 at 2400? Voice count on the ti1 is between 15 to 50 real world depending on how I configure patches I make right? So the ti2 would be 20 to 80 real world, is this right?

Current virus owners should I go for the polar 1 or 2 in your opinion, the virus will be my main synth, and I'll be shying away from vsts and using the ti analog outs as opposed to the USB audio, I will use virus control though.

Oh, and I'm on the fence between a virus and a nord lead 3, mainly because the nord is a lot less menu diving, and the morph and endless encoders are better than what the virus have. I've heard nords before, and they are agressive, not used a virus except for virus tdm in early 2000 which sucked to me. Thanks guys, and I'll be a good addition to the forum, as I may bring another perspective to freshen things up.

Hello!
i recently bought a second hand TI1 Polar and while resurching all options
i was told by Access helpdesk that TI1 and TI2 don't differ that much,
basicly it's cosmetic and the TI2 has 20% more cpu power.
The newest update os 4.1.1.5 functions equal on both.
so i guess it is up to you to decide wther the extra power is worth extra money

hope this helps
