Hi folks,
for a quick and convenient help I've created a so called "Compiled Help Module" (.chm) picturing the "Virus TI Parameter Reference".
fully indexed.
full-text search.
incl. "Addendum".
incl. "Atomizer Manual".
incl. "MIDI Implementation Chart".http://www.infekted.org/reflective/VirusTI-ParameterReferenceManual.chm (http://www.infekted.org/virus/../reflective/VirusTI-ParameterReferenceManual.chm)
Have fun!
Hi Reflective. Really interested in this as, although I don't have a TI (yet), I want to know aspects of the functionality so I can help others.
However I'm having trouble displaying any info from the help file. I get a "Navigation to the webpage was cancelled" followed by "Retype the address" for all pages:

Anything I'm missing? I'm using Windows Vista 64-bit.
Thanks. :)

Hello,
this issue is caused by security settings. Because you've downloaded the file from the internet its content is blocked.
To view the content you have to unblock the file, to do so go to the properties page of the corresponding file and unblock the file.
Bravo young sir, that worked, thank you. :)
Very comprehensive parameter guide! Is it a direct online version of the manual or did you work it all out yourself and write it from scratch, such as the distortion/shaper section for example (Contents > Effect Parameters > New Distortions and Shapers)?

Either way it's a great little resource and your effort deserves wider appreciation. I can point to it on the Infekted news portal if you'd like? If you wanted a permanent web link I can also place it on the FTP for you to use however you wish - it would remain entirely yours.
You should also send it to the staff at Access Music if you haven't already, I'm sure they'd find it a worthy resource for TI owners.
Well done. :)

The whole content is from the manual and the addendum. I was nerved to click through several pdf files whilst producing, just to get quick information. Therefore I also included the "Addendum" the "Atomizer Manual" and a "MIDI Implementation Chart".

FTP would be much better than uploaded.to, but consider that I have to have access to the FTP location because I will update the help file frequently (I updated the file with the "MIDI Implementation Chart" a few minutes ago). Apart from that there is no reason why you mustn't point to it on the Infekted news portal, feel free.:-)

Thanks for that :D
Forgot to update people, Reflective placed his guide on more permanent webspace, and is able to update/manage it independently.
The direct link to the (currently Virus TI OS v4) guide is: http://www.infekted.org/reflective/VirusTI-ParameterReferenceManual.chm
Or see his folder if new versions become available at: http://www.infekted.org/reflective/

While this is here...Thanks for this by the way, it looks useful.....
Is there anyway I can turn this or download it as a PDF file or somthing that can go onto an ipad ?
I do most of my reading on the crapper and this would make a good read.

Hey, awesome work!
What are the chances you could work the waveforms from http://www.waf80.de/virus/viruwaves/ into the help manual? There really isn't a good source to see the visual representation of the virus waves nor is there much info on how some of the waves could be useful for beginners. Either way, I think it would be a boon to at least have the waveforms visually in the guide.

Stumbled across this today (13 years later!!) But wow - that's the compact & informative. Thanks - reflective - for the chm :D.

The value of legacy info on synth hardware is not to be underestimated.. this site will one day be a treasure trove of info for a classic synth.
Year 2043 - Some large music company buys Access Music and all rights to Virus from Kemper, and subsequently buys Timo's knowledge base here for millions :)

Yes, the story can be spun further, although it is not clear whether 'replicants' are already in the process of making the replicas of the virus devices or not. perhaps in 2049.
